Successful Applicants

Tropicana is pleased to announce the following successful applicants who will be awarded Canada’s first Black-focused initiative called Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative (SBCCI).

Over 1100 applications were received Canada-wide, and Tropicana funneled a total of 178 who were looking to Enhance operational management effectiveness and efficiency and/or; build board governance capacity in any of the following categories: Empowerment through accountability; Accomplishment and measurement; or Service and fairness

These 22 applicants were carefully reviewed by our review committee who received many applications in Atlantic, Western, & Central Ontario regions and the selection process was difficult. Funding was chosen for projects that most closely matched the priorities of the Fund that would prove to strengthen their organization and build further social impact in their respective Black communities.
